GiffGaff: Different doesn’t have to be scary

Client: GiffGaff

Agency: Fallon UK with Partizan films (dir. Matthias Hoene)

A story with a great twist, and the all-important curiosity factor needed to keep people watching online.  Good timing too; no one could have anticipated the horrific events in Woolwich last week, but I certainly viewed the ad in a different light because of it. It’s easy to see some parallels: people are tense, perhaps more scared of ‘different’ right now and ready to judge. Everyone is ready to be scared of the zombies. Zombies are terrifying and they want to hurt you. Or, as it turns out, sometimes they just want to give you a hand (haha) and carry your shopping for you. Quite decent folk, actually.
